It has been a long since I wrote my English diary last time. It also seems that I did not learn English for a long time due to my tight final exams. Many of my friends, including net friends, are urging me to write in English again in my zone, therefore, from tonight on, I resolve to pick up English again. I am now announcing that my journey of learning English sails out again! How thrilled I am when I typed out these words!

　　Days ago, one of my friends asked me to help him write a business report according to the Chinese-version materials he gave me. In the very beginning, I promised him without the slightest hesitation owing to my strong belief in my English ability. I was thinking then that my English foundation was so solid and I had passed the BEC Higher, hence there would not be any trouble for me to write, specifically, to translate an English business report. However, when the materials were handed over to my hands and I set about doing the job, I was totally stunned by the declining of my English. Actually the materials were not too difficult for me, though they contained a wealth of professional terms, but the point is that I had not written business articles such as memos, business reports or proposals, for a long time since I plunged into reviewing my major courses for my finals. Hence, it took me more than 3 hours to finish the painstaking task, while it should have taken less than one hour! Worse still, I felt awfully panic for I realized I had forgotten a lot of words in the course of writing.

　　I could not fall into sleep and turned round and round in bed that night. Though I deeply knew if we did not go on learning English even for several days, our level would decrease rapidly, never ever did I realize the “ rapidly” meant far more severe than my imagination. Therefore, I have determined to study English harder in the summer vacation!
